I’m writing to recommend our incredible postpartum doula, Heejung Suh. Heejung was our postpartum doula for one month when my daughter **** was born in April 2025. From the first day we brought ****home from the hospital, Heejung took incredible care of me, ****, and my husband. She was instrumental in helping us navigate the difficult newborn period.

Heejung truly loves caring for babies and has a special touch. There was a period during the worst of ****’s witching hours when only Heejung could calm down ****. My husband and I would struggle to settle ****, yet Heejung was always able to soothe **** the moment she took her into her arms. I dealt with a lot of postpartum anxiety at the time and it made me feel very safe knowing that ****was in such great hands.

Heejung took incredible care of not only ****, but myself as well. The initial postpartum period was extremely difficult for me as I navigated becoming a first-time mother and the heavy hormones. Heejung provided me with just as much support and attention as she gave to ****. She was incredibly kind, caring, and so patient with me.

Heejung is also the most phenomenal cook I’ve ever met. I don’t know how she found the time to so thoroughly care for ****, me, and my husband, while also preparing some of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. My husband and I still reminisce about the incredible meals she cooked for us.

Heejung went above and beyond what we expected from a postpartum doula. At the end of the month, we asked Heejung to stay longer with us but she was already booked to care for another family. Other postpartum doulas came to assist us and though they had their strengths, no one made us feel as cared for as Heejung did. As soon as she became available again, we asked her to come back. Having Heejung in your home and caring for your family is a true gift. I feel so **** that Heejung came into our lives when ****was born. Navigating the difficult newborn period would have felt impossible without her calm, kindness, and support.
