Dear cherished members of our extended family,
I am overjoyed to share in the excitement of welcoming our most precious addition to the world.
I am Lee So-yeon, and it warms my heart to have been at the helm of Chinjung Mom in the US for 13 wonderful years, starting in 2023.
With a quarter-century of experience as a speech therapist and psychotherapist in Korea, I had the privilege of founding and nurturing the Gangnam Yonsei Child Development Institute, with branches in Gangnam, Bundang, and Nowon.
Our institute is more than just a place; it’s a sanctuary for families. From the tiniest newborns to spirited teenagers, we offer an array of services including parent counseling, psychological assessments, play therapy, language therapy, and so much more. With over 100 devoted researchers, each a master in their field, we stand as a beacon of knowledge and compassion.
After an international marriage led me to the United States, I personally understood the need for the kind of support Chinjung Mom provides. It was clear: there was a desire for genuine, professional postpartum care in a foreign land. And so, Chinjung Mom was born.
In Korea, we extended our care with the establishment of Korea Chinjung Mom. Here, we crafted a program of postpartum care that gained the approval of the Ministry of Health and Welfare as an esteemed educational institution.
Our Chinjung Mom team is not just a group of care providers; they’re a family. Comprising permanent residents and citizens, they’ve been meticulously chosen for their dedication, warmth, and expertise. They’ve not only undergone thorough background checks and completed vaccinations but have also been personally assessed by clinical psychologists at the Gangnam Yonsei Child and Youth Counseling Center. With recommendations from five or more referees and a wealth of postpartum care experience, they embody qualities of compassion, respect, and unwavering commitment.
These 13 years with Chinjung Mom have been a journey of trust and heartfelt promises kept. And as we step into the future, we promise to continue being the steadfast support you can rely on during this precious postpartum period. With open hearts, we’ll always strive to be here for you, with sincerity, warmth, and a deep sense of responsibility.

Chinjung Mom encompasses a network of ten institutions, featuring the distinguished Gangnam Yonsei Child and Youth Counseling Center. Within Chinjung Mom, over a hundred seasoned experts with either a master’s or doctoral degree in their respective fields draw upon a wealth of knowledge acquired through twenty-five years of professional theory and hands-on clinical experience with infants and toddlers.

“ChinJung Mom” holds a dual meaning in Korean. It refers to both “The mother of a woman who is married” and signifies a sanctuary, a home you can always return to. This beautifully encapsulates the essence of familial bonds and the comfort of a cherished place to call home.

For a healthy childbirth in a happy pregnancy, we independently operate the Parental Mom Baby Development Research Institute with the motto of emotional stability, happy childbirth, and proper childrearing.
